Most Reliable Rebuilt Engine In The Industry
LVS Golf Cart Parts goes the extra mile when rebuilding a golf cart engine.
Our trained staff of mechanics not only rebuild an engine to factory specifications, they love what they do.
When a mechanic loves what he does you can expect a top quality rebuilt engine.
Every engine block and cylinder before even being considered for rebuild goes into what we refer to as the 'pressure cooker.'
In this cooker the engine is submerged in boiling water. Once the lid is closed pressure is allowed to build up.
The distilled water within the cooker contains a special dye that will mark/stain any cracks. After the block comes
out of the cooker the supervising mechanic closely examines the block for any areas that may potentially leak or be
damaged. If it does have such areas the engine block then goes into one of the pre staging areas where our small engine
specialist examines the same block once again to see if any of the deficiencies can be repaired. If the block does not
pass both of these stages it is then turned into scrap.
When dealing with a J38 engine block most rebuild companies will not even take on such a task. The reason for this
being true is the simple fact that most of the time these engines are too costly to rebuild. LVS Golf Cart Parts
believes this to be VERY unfair to those of you that own one of these very strong a durable engines. The crankcase
on these engines are designed quite differently than a typical crankcase. In most all other crankcase assemblies
there are press spots for bearings to be pressed into place for the crankshaft to sit on and spin freely. We all
know that the core of and engine revolves around its crankshaft and this is the part that gets the most wear and
tear. We all also know that bearings won't last forever. Many times engines have been taken apart just to replace
wore out bearings. Well, with the J38 engine design there are not any crankshaft bearings. The crankcase itself
is designed with oil reserve pits in the openings in which the crankshaft sticks out of the engine and your
cooling fan mounts on one end and your clutch on the other. This design is GREAT for strength and durability. But
as with most other things there is a flaw. In many cases when one of these engines goes bad, normally due to lack
of care given to the engine by its owner (no attention to oil levels, not regularly changing oil, etc..), the
area in which the crankshaft sits on the crankcase has become worn and pitted. This being the case the crankcase
must be replaced with a completely new crankcase. This is most often more expensive for the rebuilder than what
the rebuilt engine will sale the engine for. But with a staff of mechanics like the crew at LVS Golf Cart Parts
no job is too big or too small. Quite often this expert team is able to even repair the damaged crankcase with
improvements to it over the OEM design. This often consits of actually grinding the area down past any pits or
grooves. Then welding in the area to build it back up again and then finely hone the area back down to factory
specifications. The next thing they do is actauly drill precise holes that will lead oil from inside the crankcase
into the reserve area where the crankshaft will sit. So no not only does oil come from the inside of the crankshaft
to lube this area and keep the crankshaft spinning freely but now even more fresh oil is brought to the area from
actually with in the engine block. This technique greatly reduces the chance of area breakdown even in the event
of something happening to your engine. Like was meteniod above you forget to change your oil regularly or to
simply check your oil level now and then. This is yet again one of the many steps LVS Golf Cart Parts takes
to provide you with the best possible product your money can buy.
LVS Golf Cart Parts takes pride in taking on challenges that other companies in the golf cart industry shy away
from. That is one of the many reasons there are several products produced by LVS that cannot be purchased from
any other golf cart parts company in the industry. That is unless that other company that may have it bought from
LVS. The owners of LVS Golf Cart Parts are always looking at ways to help the owners of the older golf carts as well
as those that own newer carts. And if it costs LVS a couple extra bucks to get a quality rebuilt engine out to a
customer in need, well, simple, that is what this company is all about doing!
No other golf cart engine rebuild company can claim to do as much as LVS Golf Cart Parts when it comes to rebuilding a golf
cart engine. The pride and effort taken in every single one of the LVS rebuilt engines cannot be matched. In a typical rebuild by
OTHER companies the only thing that will be replaced with new in your rebuild will be pistons, rings, valves, gaskets and seals!
A rebuilt engine by the team of mechanics at LVS Golf Cart Parts is easily the most reliable rebuilt engine in the industry today.
These rebuilt engines are built to run BETTER than a new engine. That is why all the special care and extra attention is given to
every rebuilt engine by LVS Golf Cart parts
Every rebuilt engine from LVS Golf Cart Parts comes with a new Carburetor tuned specifically for the engine it is associated with.
